Michelle, CPNP, IBCLC has been with Growing Child Pediatrics since 2007. She received her bachelor degree from Wake Forest University, lived abroad in Honduras with the Peace Corps, and then went on to receive her Bachelor and Master Degree in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Prior to joining Growing Child Pediatrics, Michelle worked as an RN at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at UNC Hospital and as a PNP in a school-based clinic with Duke University. Michelle has also recently completed the requirements and testing necessary to become a board certified lactation consultant (IBCLC).

Michelle enjoys being able to work part time as both a PNP and a stay-at home mom. She now lives with her husband and two boys in Cary. In her free time she enjoys reading, running, and traveling with her family.
