Leslie Clapp, MD, FAAP truly enjoys her work at Kids Express Care. In addition to helping her patients feel better at Kids Express Care, Dr. Clapp works in Research Triangle Park as a medical monitor helping to ensure patient safety during clinical trials.
Dr. Clapp is a graduate of Oberlin College and the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. As a board certified pediatrician, Dr. Clapp relocated to North Carolina in 2005 and left Main Pediatrics, a medical practice that she founded in Buffalo, New York. While in NY, she received several recognitions for her service, including The Buffalo News Citizen of the Year Award and the Outstanding Woman in Medicine Award by the University of Buffalo Advisory Board.
She and her late husband, Michael Ezie, have been blessed with four children. Her youngest son is a high school student at Wakefield High School and her oldest two daughters are roommates in New York City. Her eldest daughter is a graduate of Yale University and is entering her last year at the Columbia University School of Law while her second daughter, Kelechi, is a singer/actress and 2008 Princeton University graduate. Her third daughter, Chisara, is a 2009 graduate of Cornell University and is currently doing an internship at the humanitarian organization CARE in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Clapp loves being a parent. She also enjoys music, reading, the company of good friends and family, and loves the North Carolina sunshine.
