Karen earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Clemson University and a Master of Arts Degree  in Clinical Psychology from Western Carolina University. She is a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA).

Karen has thirteen years of experience working with children and teenagers. She worked with teenagers with behavioral and emotional problems at Three Springs of North Carolina and at C.A. Dillon Youth Development Center. She specializes in psychological assessment as well as individual, family, and group counseling.

In her free time, Karen enjoys spending time with her daughter, yoga, running, and cycling.

Regenia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has been working in the mental health field since 1996. Regenia holds a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Degree from North Carolina State University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) Degree from the UNC Chapel Hill School of Social Work.

Regenia has a passion for working with children and families dealing with issues associated with mental health and substance abuse disorders. Specific disorders that Regenia is experienced in treating include issues associated with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse, Oppositional Defiance, Family Conflict, and Trauma/PTSD. She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Systems Therapy. Regenia has also received specialized training in Mental Health First Aid for Adults and Children.

In her free time, Regenia enjoys attending church, traveling, and playing with her four-legged family members, Karma and Diamond.

Psychology from North Carolina State University and a Master of Social Work Degree from East Carolina University, specializing in children/family mental health. While at East Carolina University, Julie became certified in Substance Abuse studies.

She has trained with the area’s most qualified mental health professionals and child psychiatrists, many of whom earned their specialized degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Through this specialized training program, she is now a licensed clinical social worker. This specialized degree requires yearly continuing education and ethics training, all of which are monitored by the North Carolina Certification and Licensure Board. She is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers, which gives her access to a wide array of mental health resources.

Julie specializes in working with children and adolescents who may be experiencing stressors in their home or school environments. These stressors may come from being teased or bullied at school, academic and attention difficulties, parents divorcing, the birth of a new sibling, or another specific trauma.

Alyx is a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to working with children, adolescents and families. She holds a Master of Arts and a Master of Education in Psychological Counseling from Columbia University in New York and a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

A native of North Carolina, Alyx has a special interest in cultural diversity and understanding the unique and shared experiences of each community. She strives to understand each client for whom he or she is and assist in removing obstacles to a child’s healthy emotional, social, or behavioral development.

Alyx is experienced in play therapy, talk therapy, and family therapy. She has also been trained in the evidence-based practices of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Functional Family Therapy. As part of her state licensure, she is required to complete yearly continuing education and ethics training, which enables her to stay up-to-date with developments in the fields of counseling and children/adolescent behavioral health.
