Leslie Clapp, MD, FAAP works at Kids Express Care, where she really enjoys helping patients feel better. Dr. Clapp also works in RTP as a medical monitor helping to ensure patient safety during clinical trials.
A board certified pediatrician, Dr. Clapp relocated to North Carolina in 2005 leaving Main Pediatrics, a busy medical practice that she founded in Buffalo, New York. There, she received several recognitions for her service, including The Buffalo News Citizen of the Year Award and the Outstanding Woman in Medicine Award by the University of Buffalo Advisory Board. Dr. Clapp is a graduate of Oberlin College and University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
She and her late husband Michael Ezie were blessed with 4 children. Her youngest son Chiemeka Ezie, is a high school student at Wakefield High School. Her oldest 2 daughters are roommates in New York City, where oldest daughter Chinyere, a graduate of Yale University is entering her last year at Columbia University School of Law. Her sister, Kelechi is a singer/actress and 2008 Princeton University graduate. Third daughter Chisara is a 2009 graduate of Cornell University, and doing an internship at the humanitarian organization CARE in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Clapp loves being a parent. She enjoys music, reading, the company of good friends and family, and loves the North Carolina sunshine.
